Service Re-design

Service Re-design

Creating effective, efficient, patient-centred services

Primary Care is constantly-evolving as patient needs change and technology, clinical skills and knowledge develops. That means keeping services up-do-date and, where possible, future-proof which, in-turn, often requires re-designing the original service.

Primary Care Trusts have regularly used McLaren Perry’s independent, practical advice to undertake the re-design process. The structure generally includes:

  • Generating an agreed, full understanding of the scope of the service
  • Analysis of activity, capacity and workforce
  • Identifying options for service models, including full cost modelling
  • Appraisal of relevant options
  • Engagement with stakeholders
  • Presentation of re-design at Board-level to agree sign-off
  • Development of full implementation plan
