A CQC inspection should be seen as an opportunity for any GP practice to confirm the best quality of care being delivered to its patients and the community. However, for many clinicians and practice staff, the imminent arrival of CQC inspectors is perceived as a threat and a time of increased stress and report ratings often fail to reflect the practice in the most positive light. This need not be the case.
